2nd Facility Operator Action Required: Ticket Format Change and Testing

As mentioned in our previous announcement email, Gopher State One Call will be continuing to upgrade the services provided to Minnesota’s facility operators over the next few months.  If you have not submitted your notification area changes outlined in the previous email, please submit them by 10/15/2010 by clicking here.  The next service that will be updated and requires action to be taken by facility operators is:

• Ticket Format

What is changing with the current ticket format?
A new ticket format is being adopted by GSOC.  An example of this new ticket format is included below. We will be sending out an actual test ticket within the next two weeks to all OCC receiving stations.

• If you receive tickets via email or fax, no action is required.
• If you receive tickets via KorWeb (Gopher State One Call’s free ticket management system) or KorTerra Enterprise, no action is required.  If you would like to register for KorWeb now, click here.

• If you receive tickets via another electronic ticket management system, you will need to program that system to correctly receive the new ticket format.  The action required to accomplish this is:
1.  Contact the Transition Hotline now by sending an email to gsoctransition@korterra.com that includes the destination information (XML, FTP or system email) you would like the test tickets sent to.  A transition specialist will contact you prior to, and after the test tickets have been sent to the requested destination.
 2.  After December 31, 2010, all GSOC tickets will be delivered using this new format.  It is imperative that testing and verification of successful reception of the new format be completed by December 31st.
