Positive Response Requirements

Underground facility operators must respond to routine tickets they receive from GSOC, even if there are no underground facilities in the excavation area.  As defined by state statute 216D, there are three ways in which a facility operator can provide Positive Response.

Option 1

Facility operators can respond to tickets through Gopher State One Call's website. The Gopher State One Call webpage to provide Positive Response is located at: http://www.gopherstateonecall.org/index.php/submitpositive-response/submit-positive-response.html.

Option 2

Mark the area “NO” with paint followed by the your company name, abbreviation or logo on the ground at the job site.

Option 3

Transparent or clear plastic flags can be used to mark the job site indicating Clear or No Conflict.  On the transparent flag you must have; “N/C” or “NO CONFLICT” in lettering matching the color code of the underground facility that is not in conflict.  You also must have on the flag; the company’s name, abbreviation, or logo, the date, a contact telephone number and the ticket number.
